Right now. Go. Download and install Windows 10 upgrade. It seems Microsoft is keeping it on the down lo’ that they are still offering Windows 10 upgrade for free to an existing Windows 7, 8 & 8.1 valid installation for customers that use assistive technologies. So what’s ‘assistive technologies’? These are technologies that provide additional accessibility to people who have some type of physical difficulty, impairment or disability. No should a person without these criteria be allowed to take advantage of this free upgrade. I say yes, because at some point you will need some assistance to maneuvering around in Windows 10. Like Cortana for instance, if you have injured your mouse hand, you can use the ability of Cortana to help you out. The options are not endless and we never know what the future holds. Remember, there are Windows Minimum System Requirements and Microsoft does and excellent job of determining if your computer can run windows 10 using its scanning tool before you upgrade. These Minimum Requirements are just very basic, you should be running with at lease these specifications to ensure a better overall experience:
- Processor: 2 GHz or faster.
- RAM: 2 GB (64-bit)
- Free hard disk space: 20 GB.
- Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver.
- A Microsoft account and Internet access
